New Group News

Sunday April13, 2008 5 people on 4 motorcycles left our church parking lot on a chilly, history-making ride.

These hard-core riders left for the very first affinity group ride ever in the history of our church. Low temperatures and high winds made the ride a bit tricky, but God was good and got them home safely.

What a way to start these new types of groups! Thanks to Paul Kimberling for your dedication and hard work to arrange these monthly rides for us!

If you want more information on this group or other groups of this kind (running, golfing, flying, etc) please contact me at mike@hcclifegroups.com

Welcome

Welcome to the small group community of Heritage Christian Church! We are glad you stopped by to see our site and learn more about small groups.

At Heritage we strive to Win, Build and Send Servants for Jesus Christ! In Matthew 20:26-27 Jesus said “Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave”

So the question is, “What does a Servant do?” At Heritage we believe a Servant of Christ does three things, which we call the three C’s.

First a servant Celebrates the work of Christ. By celebrating corporately we believe you will be lifted up and encouraged by our weekend services.

Second a servant Connects in relationship with Christ and others. Connecting happens best in a small group setting. We believe that small groups are the best way to learn, live and grow. Jesus had a small group of twelve and we believe that Servants are formed from relationship and connection within a small group.

Finally a servant Contributes to the cause of Christ. Contributing can be done individually or in a group. Many of our groups are working weekly in various areas of our community from caring for the elderly and widows to working, as groups, within our own church to taking weekly mission trips to the streets of Atlanta, GA.

Whatever your background, whatever your current stage in life, we have a group for you. With over 30 groups meeting practically every day of the week, we will help you connect.

Please drop me an e-mail mike@hcclifegroups.com or call our small group ministry voicemail box 770.716.7111. I’d love to connect with you and discuss the options for your getting involved.
